How does A1School protect children at the school gate?
Four things run together. Pupils, staff and visitors pass one checkpoint and one register. Arrival and departure alerts reach the parent as they happen. Visitors are signed in with time in, time out and who they came to see. And collection is verified against the guardians the school holds on file, so a child leaves only with an adult the school has already approved.
What is verified guardian pickup?
Each child is linked at enrolment to the adults permitted to collect them. At collection the system checks the adult against that list. It removes the judgement call from whoever happens to be standing at the gate when a stranger says the mother sent them — which is the moment most school safeguarding policies are actually tested.
When do parents find out their child has arrived?
In seconds, on the tap at the gate, to the number the school holds. The failure this prevents is the familiar one: a child who never arrived being discovered at the end of the day, or when the parent rings at five.
Does it handle visitor management as well as pupils?
Yes. Visitor sign-in and logging is part of the same register, so the record of who was on the premises covers everyone, not only children and staff. That record is what turns a safeguarding policy into something a school can evidence to an inspector or a parent.
